Writing songs is a form of communication for me. It’s the way I communicate when language breaks down, when words alone seem inadequate. It’s also the form of communication I reach for when I don’t know exactly who it is I am addressing; I send my message out into the universe, hoping that it is received by someone.

         Making music is my attempt to make something beautiful or meaningful out of the raw materials given to me by life.
